A fresh perspective and constructive criticism are strong tools for growth. Incorporating young minds with thriving companies is a recipe for success. We were fortunate enough to witness this success through GreenSeam’s partnership with Lime Valley Advertising and the Computers in Society (IT202W) course at Minnesota State University, Mankato.

The course focuses on the complex social and ethical issues associated with computers and other technology within today’s society. The class consists of 50 students. For their final, students were divided into ten groups and challenged with finding ways to improve GreenSeam’s business directory. On Tuesday, Dec. 4th, we assisted in judging the student’s final presentations. With the help of GreenSeam, Lime Valley Advertising and the student’s research and findings, they created outstanding presentations that were engaging, knowledgeable and informative. The common theme for ideas was to create a directory that showcases the businesses in a more interactive way, utilizing the map and images.

We are currently reviewing each idea in more detail. Stay tuned and watch greenseam.org/business-directory for improvements.
