Farmamerica’s Ag Career Exploration days are designed for students in 7th and 8th grade. We introduce students to the concept that agriculture is all around you. Students explore each of the 6 sectors of the Minnesota Career Wheel and show how every sector connects back to agriculture through a hands on experience.
We invite professionals to come in and teach these sessions. We’ll provide the curriculum and training before you arrive. We do our best to match your profession to a related activity and you can share a bit about your professional journey or job opportunities within your company. Each session lasts 35 minutes, but will be taught 6 times during the day.
This program is offered on four separate days, April 26, April 27, May 2 and May 3. Volunteers can choose to work 1, multiple or all days. You will teach the same lesson every day.
