MANKATO, Minn. (April 12, 2019) —  Mankato Area Public Schools (MAPS) is introducing new programming in Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources (AFNR) starting in the fall of 2019. They are interested in finding ways to connect this pathway of learning with our community to develop an authentic experience for students that is sustainable and helps to connect students to career paths in this field.

They invite you to attend a short discussion on Wednesday, April 17th from 8-9 am at South Central College in room E-123 to learn about what MAPS is doing and how you can get involved.

Agenda items include:

  1. New Course Offering description and roll-out plan
  2. Partnership Opportunities (e.g. job shadowing, speakers, work-based learning, career fairs, advisory committee, etc.)
  3. Next Steps: Where should we go next? How do we get there?
