This summit is a celebration and coming together of the energy, people, and ideas that are propelling the Center for Agricultural and Food Science Technology forward. Forward in ways that are building a base for even more good things to come.

Similar to the way our college and programs are innovating we will learn about innovation and how it moves into places to help people with their needs. Riverland is improving our community and our world by innovating and providing “Best in Class” programming and instruction.

Breakfast on the Farm 2018

Breakfast on the Farm is a free, family fun event held in the Mankato area each year. This year, we will be back at the Guentzel Family Farm in Kasota! Come check out farm animals, tractors and other farm equipment, learn all about modern farming, talk with farmers, and so much more! Join us for a free pancake breakfast with a freewill offering. Hosted by the Le Sueur and Blue Earth County Farm Bureaus along with our generous event sponsors!

New Uses Forum 2018: Adding Value at the Speed of Innovation 

Join us on April 11 and 12, 2018, at the Crowne Plaza in Plymouth, MN for a pre-event reception (4/11) and an informative day of learning about value-added agriculture in Minnesota while networking with others with new ideas and successful entrepreneurial ventures (4/12).

The theme, “Adding Value at the Speed of Innovation” will focus on how rapidly the value-added agricultural sector changes with the commercialization of new innovations. The forum brings together knowledgeable guest speakers from throughout the new uses and value-added agricultural sectors. Keynote speakers will share trends and industry overviews of these sectors, while panels will give more detailed overviews as well as insight into their respective organizations’ experiences.

The forum will, once again, be a premier value-added agricultural event for the upper Midwest, so be sure to register today! The registration cost will be $75, which covers both receptions, a lunch, a continental breakfast and networking breaks.

LIVE OUT LOUD: Featuring Angie Bastian

Co-founder of Angie’s BOOMCHICKAPOP, Angie Bastian, knows what it means to LIVE OUT LOUD. She and her husband, Dan Bastian, started their business popping sweet and salty popcorn from their garage in 2001 as a means to start a college fund for their children. Angie is known for her entrepreneurial energy and passion towards empowering others, especially women and children, to follow their dreams. Angie will share her journey of starting this BOOMING company and how she found success and meaning in doing so.

Connect Rural Broadband Summit
