I am Ag because farming is part of my family. Agriculture has been a part of my life since before I can remember. To this day, my family still runs a farm just outside North Mankato, where they raise hogs, corn and soybeans. My mother loves telling stories of me planting crops with my toy tractors when I was five years old. When I wasn’t using my imagination, I spent my younger years walking beans and configuring feed rations for the hogs. These experiences have truly taught me what it means to be a farmer.

Today, my focus is on the finance side of farming. I earned my Bachelor of Science and Master in Accounting degrees from Minnesota State University, Mankato. Staying close to home meant I could still help out at the family farm when I wasn’t in the classroom or studying. After my first interview at Eide Bailly, I learned quickly that they had the same passion for the agriculture industry that had been instilled in me growing up on the farm. I knew this is where I wanted to be.

Tax return preparation is only one of the ways I provide value to my ag clients. Some of the areas I especially enjoy include the new tax laws, transition strategies for transferring operations to the next generation, and end of year tax planning. I am passionate about bridging the gap between the agriculture industry and the accounting world.
